Windows 7 Support (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,
Considering using Win7 RC instead of reloading my broken Vista SP2 (blocks ports with firewall disabled and exceptions added -_- )
It seems theres issues with the mediacentre remote or similar? Will i have issues with my hybrid analogue/digital tuner card HVR-2200?

OK i installed MP on windows 7 and i must say it works quite perfectly
I have one problem though. When i install ffdshow 64bit MediaPortal doesnt see it. Is that normal?

Jepp that´s pretty normal. Why? MediaPortal is only a 32bit app and can´t see 64bit applications and drivers. Or better said 32bit Apps have no access to the 64bit registry and 64bit System! That´s the reason i switched back to 32bit windows because otherwise you need many programs and codecs in 32bit and 64bit version. If you have less then 4gb ram there is even no benefit installig a 64bit os. I know it´s hard but i learned that lesson some time ago

Yeah you are right, but i have 4go of ram and having to install a few duplicate app for now seems a lot less annoying than to have to reinstall the whole os
Anyway i still kept my XP, so now i play a little so see what i can do with windows 7

I really like EVR for example, except for the fact that i cant figure out a way to remove tearing with it...

If this would be the case, then we would have a lot less work to do for 1.1.0.

Fact is that MediaPortal 1.0.2 has quite some issues on Windows 7, especially if UAC is turned on.
We are working on it and hope to have the major amount of issues fixed in the 1.1.0 ALPHA release.
