    From your log:
    [2015-07-27 11:16:56,186] [Log ] [XmlTvImporter] [ERROR] - XML tv import error loading C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\xmltv\tvguide.xml err:Could not find file 'C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\xmltv\xmltv.dtd'.

    Did you accidentally delete xmltv.dtd?

    No, xmltv.dtd is intact.

EDIT. I renamed it as part of troubleshooting. Forgot to place it back. It wasn't working before that.

The logs clearly state a missing xmltv.dtd.
    • Are you absolutely certain that the file exists in the above directory?
    • Are you sure that it is the correct file? This is a customized file whose content depends on the kind of service you are using to create the xml file. It can be downloaded as part of the setup process of the epg service you use.

Not sure what to say on the xmltv.dtd error message in the log file.

Since you are in the USA I think your mc2xml downloads are not getting any new data for July 27 or later since msft has discontinued the legacy download service. There are several forum threads about mc2xml EPG problems. For example.
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/media-center-epg-and-mc2xml-problem.131337/page-2

Just checked my vista/wmc system (wmc not used for years), and noticed there is "no data" for any channel since it uses the legacy download.

Near the end of your log file I see the following
    [2015-07-27 11:26:26,209] [Log ] [SetupTv ] [INFO ] - Xmltv: imported 554 channels, 0 programs status:tvguide.xml:File imported successfully;

Some people have had success using the newer Win7 service but you need to "donator version" from the mc2xml guy. See new message in the mc2xml download page. http://mc2xml.hosterbox.net/ I have not tried the "donator version" and cannot confirm it works.

    I think your options are

    1. mc2xml (donator) + xmltv
    2. schedules direct $25/yr with schedules direct plugin
    3. schedules direct using mc2xml v1.3 + xmltv
    4. webepg/imdb

if you use schedules direct using mc2xml v1.3 + xmltv, you need to setup SD account, setup lineup online/webpage, for mc2xml the command line for 14 days (336 = 14*24) is.
    Code:
    mc2xml.exe -T USER:PASSWORD -d 336

The file date of the xmltv.dtd is the same as the version that is delivered with MP 1.12. I suspect that you overwrote your provider version with the one that is delivered with MP.

Greg, it would help if you showed what software you use to download the tvgudie.xml file. Looking in your log files it looks like mc2xml/legacy.

htpc, I've always used the MP1 supplied xmltv.dtd file for mc2xml

Can you check the tvguide.xml: the first lines might give some indication about service and auxiliary files used.

Update: Problem solved! The electronic program guides (tvguide.xml) have been successfully transferred to MediaPortal. The issue stemmed from the corruption of one or both of the mc2xml.dat and/or mc2xml.exe files, for an unknown reason. Consequently, even though the tvguide.xml file appeared to be updated, its content kept being an...

Hey CyberSimian you nailed it! Looks like the secret is:- After EPG Collector has Run and provided the TVGuide.xml Open MediaPortal - TV Server Configuration "Force Import" on the Plugins/Xmltv/General dialogue, (ignore the status) Go to the Mappings dialogue and Load/Refresh and Save a Group - (It does not appear to matter which...

I used to use the grabber but a few years back it disappeared on FreeSat DVBS. That is when I changed to EPG Collector. The extra benefit is that it collects from the Sky platform so it will give EPG for all the FreeSat channels plus the unencrypted movie channels on the Sky platform. It also allows me to pick the channels dedicated...

here is a small update: it is probably not due to the Windows update. I ran a new transmitter scan and got the same result. MP no longer starts. Then I got the fuse back and everything works again. A simple reinstall of MP does not bring a solution. Maybe I should reinstall MP from scratch. However, I need a lot of time for this...
