After a long search and trying several codecs and settings, I managed to play live TV and Videos without any stuttering...
I thought my issue is separate from that "asio music player" since bass/asio settings are built-in to mediaportal while asio music player seems like an external program/plugin that I need to install separately?

Thanks for the reply Dir. If your compression ratio is typical it doesn't look like it would be worth doing. At that percentage, you would only gain 2gb on a full 1tb drive. That's not even enough for 1 extra movie.

Will it hurt anything to compress my video_ts folders to save disk space? I guess I should also ask if the Video_TS files compress...
Problem was fixed, i manage to solve it by replacing the cards in the pci sockets.
then i used hwclear to remove old driver installation , reboot the pc stopped tv service and reinstall hauppauge drivers.
all works now with no problem.

Haven't tweaked codecs and skin settings yet but I wanted to thank the developers for a really nice product.

Hi, I brought up the issue over there but they said that the key assignments were dealt with by the general program. Is there any way to change how the "home" button behaves in movingpictures? for every other plugin it takes you to the top of the list, but in movingpictures it takes you back to the main screen.

Yup works fine. I have 3x Freeview and 1x Freesat (DVB-S2).
You tune in all the channels, then you can "combine" the similar ones together. i.e. BBC1 on Freesat with BBC1 on Freeview etc.
The tv guide is taken off the air, and you can specify which cards to use for which channels.
You can also just use xmltv and the radiotimes...

If you have a stb - access the engineers menu and grab the default frequency and symbolrate - plug those into the scan and it should detect the transponders for you - mine was 666750 and 6952 i think!
Also what DVBC card are you using - i have had success with technotrend 1500 and 1501 budgets.

Just letting you know that the TV guide in RC4 is still extremely slow when using MySQL in WinXP and multiseat configuration...
I also had the crashing problem with the DVB-EPG. This is probably caused by one channel, that sends EPG that MP has problems with.
You could try to deactivate the EPG for all channels and then only activate for the "necessary" channels, and then go up from there, enabling one channel at a time.
