Good shout! Working when setting the network to private. Windows 7 firewall certainly doesn't behave like it does in Windows 10/11.
Saved me a lot of time having to debug the code. Thanks for the tip!
Hello,
I spent a couple of days trying to resolve this issue and cannot figure it out. I have set up MediaPortal Server on an old Windows 7 machine and the Client on a new Windows 11 machine. I can open MediaPortal on the client machine and go into TV section. From TV, I try to access the guide...
I've just given it a try and it does seem better but that could be down to more powerful hardware. I do have the following issues:
1. There were a couple of files that were very problematic in the past as they were very jerky in playback. I wasn't able to test these files so I cannot confirm if...
After rebooting my server, MP2 successfully installed! Anyway, I have attached the logs. If I see it get into this state again, maybe I can debug the service in VIsual Studio.
Since I have new hardware, I'll give it another go this weekend.

Hello there, I did try it but still had issues with the Dokan library, whereby higher bitrate content would not play smoothly. The alternative was to play directly from UNC path and the same issue with the subtitles being 500ms out of sync still exists. My server hardware has changed...
Hello,
After backing Mediaportal folder from c:\Programdata\Team Mediaportal, I restored it on a new build (after performing a clean install of MediaPortal Client). After starting upo the client, I see some of the settings from the restore were picked up but all the plugins were missing. Of...
I wasn't aware of this and my post was in no way intended to be disrespectful towards regezter. Since there is no more development and since the code is closed source, I will leave it. I cannot set apply this setting - it's an API call and not a simple setting within the Android user interface!

Absolutely! Developers, please set the NotificationChannel of the Android NotificationService call to IMPORTANCE_LOW. It is very annoying that the phone constantly vibrates while music is playing!
Tried a combination of things and now working - not sure what got it working. Changed the database connection setting to use IP address rather than computer name, deleted TVService windows service and reinstalled and also rebooted machine. One or more of those steps appears to have resolved it.
I have enclosed TV server log which is showing that IP and Port 172.24.16.1:31456 is refusing the connection, therefore the TVService won't start. Why is the TVService trying to access a NIC with that IP address (that is my HyperV default switch, by the way)? How can I instruct it to access the...
Hello, does MPExtended service support hardware assisted transcoding? In its current configuration, I am experiencing very high CPU usage at the server side and of course, hardware assisted transcoding is not utlisied. How do I enable it?
Yes, I used UNC paths (for some reason, I couldn't type them in and had to use on-screen keyboard). By using UNC paths, the stuttering was gone and playback was smooth but later, I had encountered a plethora of problems:
1. Captions and subtitles were slightly out of sync (about 500 ms)
2. MP2...
