Please test this snapshot: http://tinyurl.com/paz4955. It is an updated Alpha 4, including bugfixes (i.e. increased UPnP receive buffer sizes), SlimTV(MPExtended) and the network binding fix from MrTechno. (It's a full installer)

Save the attached config file to: C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MP2-Server\Config\ and edit the IP adress you want to bind your MP2 server to.

I did a fresh install but did not use the IP patch
When adding my shares I get a blank screen.

    Local Shares show up
    Network shares are the issue

Alright, thanks guys, I will give this a try today.
I should be alright to just install this over the current version on my PCs right?

    Breese:
I checked your server log real quick, and I noticed the server has no problems seeing the 'host' like my setup is having.
    What windows are you on?

It's strange because it doesn't find a host, but attaches anyway, and then the network detaches the host after time.

I put my server power options to high performance to see if it will help.

But so far, it looks like with the new version and the config file, it is still behaving the same.
I will upload my server.log shortly.

I have a Win 7 Pro and my new issue seems to be something local to my machine
I just installed the prior working MP2 and have the same results. I am currently doing a restore from 2 days ago to see what is happening

I am wondering if my issue could be Windows 8.1 Related, as it seems to add some tunnel adapters
I would love to test it by running MP2 Server on a Win7 box, I will see what I could setup.

UPDATE - So I edited my HOST file on my server and one client, and forced the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses to match what I know to be as the hostnames
    ie - 172.16.2.2 winserver.jayhome
    and 172.16.2.3 ascension.jayhome

as well as their respected IPv6 address with zoneID

Detached from the server on my MP2 client and rebooted both PCs.
Fired up my MP2 Client, and go figure, no host/DNS issues in my server log, perhaps this will solved my disconnection issue...
    I will update this shortly.

UPDATE 2 - So no DNS issue, but it still disconnects my client, server log is attached.

It looks like I had to remove the 187781_ in the front of the file name.
so I would have the file name "MediaPortal.Common.Services.ResourceAccess.Settings.ServerSettings.xml" under my C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MP2-Server\Config\ , right?
