re: after update "TV Setup" crash ! - TvService.exe not upgraded to RC3

File list.... Thanks

Uninstalled tv service and made a new installation with only tv-server but then nothing happens when I press tv. I guess I miss the tv-client plugin in this case?

re: after update "TV Setup" crash ! - TvService.exe not upgraded to RC3

    File list.... Thanks

if you are supposed to run RC3, your install folder is a big mess  :

    • most dlls dated 2010-04
    • you have even a gentle.config under plugins
    • you run M***I
    • you still have a lot of MS dll: msvcp*.dll, Microsoft.VC80.CRT.manifest
    • dxerr9.dll is dated 3 August 2009

and you didn't reboot after install:

    Code:
    010-05-18 17:58 0 rebootflag

reason because you have not all the updated files in place.
Window uses a "pendingmoves" registry key to handle the replace of files that were locked during first try copy.
This will replace those during a reboot, when they are free.

:) The only problem is that nothing happens when I press TV on home screen right now. Everything works with tv in preview...

Installed tvplugin and everything works again...

Because of the "mess" in your Tv-Server directory, I strongly recommend that you uninstal it -> delete the entire folder -> do a clean installation

And please keep in mind that MDAPI installations wont receive any support by us in case of issues.
The reason is that MDAPI has a great history of making TvServer completelly unstable.

Nothing in my windows event log, that's why I wrote that it was empty and even retrying to run the tv server configuration utility, does not write anything in the windows log files.

Uninstalled the tv server, ran the setup again and all seems to be OK and it is now v1.0.7, except for an error msg that I get when starting the tv server configuration:
    "Microsoft SI/PSI parser outdated!
Psicdecd.dll may not be registered properly!
Please check our Wiki's requirements page"

I have checked the documentation but there is nothing that I can find that applies to this error.
    Thats the dvb-hotfix for WinXP.

Does this also apply when using an analogue card?
Back then when I prepared my system, I had seen this but never installed it because I didn't think I needed it...

    @ALL users with this issue:

Please run the following command from a Command prompt ( cmd.exe ):

    "dir /s c:\program files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\*.* > %TEMP%\tvserver-list.txt"

and attach here the file "%TEMP%\tvserver-list.txt". If you are running a x64 system the first part of the path is "C:\PRogram Files(x86)\...."

    :D

AW: after update "TV Setup" crash ! - TvService.exe not upgraded to RC3

After update from RC2 to RC3 i cant open "Setup TV". (a message appears: setuptv.exe doesnt work, you want send information to microsoft?) something like this.

Got the same error. I've tried to update from the disaster123 RC2 edition, but it failed.

    My solution:

    - uninstall MePo (Option: Standard)
    - install MePo (Option: New)

All databases and settings were taken correctly. So I haven't to configure anything new. Now the TV-Server (and the updated clients) work fine for me. So again thanks for your good and hard work.

    General requirement since ages.

Yes Chris, I know - that's why I wrote that I had seen it more then once - but does a hauppauge PVR350 fall under the category of ATSC/DVB cards?
