Amazon FireHD Stick? (1 Viewer)

As far as I can tell from reading reviews you can do it but it's going to be hassle. Unlike the Chromecast you can install apps but it uses Amazon App Store rather than Google Play so aMPdroid won't be there. You could install http://www.amazon.co.uk/Amazon-Fire...427366523&sr=1-1&keywords=Fire+TV+Utility+App then sideload aMPdroid on to it. Alternatively get an app like http://www.amazon.co.uk/x5434-x6C5D-AirPlay-DLNA-Receiver/dp/B00LAT7QV6 that will allow it to work as a DLNA renderer.

Just FYI:
Got my FireHD stick today.
Sideloading AmpDroid (Current version from Google Play store) was no problem, as well as starting it.
I managed to configure my server with remote / remote app. So far, so good.
But 1. I didn't think about the fact that the Fire Stick does not have a touchscreen. You cannot reach all elements (e.g. the TV, Series etc button in the main menu) which is really a pitfall, 2. and even more important: As soon as I tried to play any media, the app disappeared and I was kicked back to the fire TV settings menu (from where I started).
@DieBagger Any Interest and Time to take a look and make a FireTV-Stick compatible version, even if it's quick and dirty? This would allow all MePo users to run their media (including live TV) on a FTV stick. I love this idea ;-)

This idea is great.
I miss mepo so much. Since i have a problem with pay tv i changed my setup to a sat receiver and a FireTV (box, not stick and because of amazon prime) .
I've tried plex and kodi but nothing has a WAF like Mepo.

You might want to try installing an app like Apps2Fire (from Google Play) on your android phone. Once it is installed, it becomes trivial to sideload apps by first installing the app on your android cell phone and from that transferring a copy in one quick shot to firestick of fire tv.

My previous TBS PCI-E card failed, so I bought another one. The model I chose is the TBS 6181-SE, which can be seen on Amazon here...

This happened immediately after my Windows 11 x64 monthly update for November. The update included also cumulative update to .NET...
I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ?
MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback.
If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo.
