Hey guys ! First post !

I would need some help to make my tv work with MP. I want to switch cause I'll be getting a Happauge HD-PVR soon and WMC doesn't support it. Anyway... here's my problem. I'm in canada so I can't use the WebEPG. I'm trying to make the mc2xml solution work but it don't. I can generate a tvguide.xml fine (wich is 62meg). If I open it, all channels and shows are there. I just can't import them with the TV configuration tool.

So, what do I do and what doesn't work... As I said, I got my xmltv file. I open tv-server configuratio tool, change the path, go into mapping and then.... nothing. There is no group I can choose from and if I click on load/refresh, I got a message about tvguide.lst not found. Anyone can help me on this. I really want to switch to MP but I really need to make this work. Forgot to mention that I copied a xmltv.dtd (or something similar) in the same folder.

Note: I'm on Vista 32bit, using a happauge 150. I'm getting the tv from my set top box with an IR blaster.

Hi,

with this error message, sounds like you checked "Import files in new tvguide.lst" in the xmltv-configuration. Uncheck this, just check "import new tvguide.xml.

When you did this, you should be able to to the mappings. If you do not see your channels when you do your load/refresh, there is a mistake in the configuation and/or the tvguide.xml.

Good luck!

It worked but not for too long :) It at least tried to load something (like for 3secondes) and then I got a error "No tv channels to map" Or something like that. I would need do it again to tell you exactly. Seems like a got a error in the xml that mc2xml generated or what ?

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...
