As it turns out, I can install and configure MP 1 just fine. 2 seems to crap out.

If you're surprised then you shouldn't be. Most people that use and work on MediaPortal do so in their free time, which is often over the weekend. If you post during the week it can take a few days or more to get a reply. Please also be aware that there are far fewer people using MediaPortal 2 than MediaPortal 1. Therefore you may find that help is not as fast or forthcoming.

The electronic program guides (tvguide.xml) have been successfully transferred to MediaPortal.
