When I have movies set to sort by title the viewing mode defaults to list and when I go to change it I can't select the button. I'd like to be able to switch it to filmstrip.

    Hi there and welcome

    Try changing it in MP Configuration; Videos; Video Views;

    Select the TITLE view and set the VIEWAS column.

    Save

    Hi, thanks for the reply. I did some more playing around with the configuration and it seems that this is what was causing the problem. Some kind of bug. When it is set to filmstrip the button in Media Portal does not show up at all but if it's set to anything else, big icon, list etc the button shows up and I can change it to filmstrip. Even though I've decided with the number of movies I have now I will be keeping it in big icon view it's still an inconvenience and should be rectified.

    Since I played around with all the settings as per the previous posts and despite putting everything back to how it was, as far as I can tell, now when my HTPC wakes up to make a recording it no longer does so in away mode. I will probably do a restore from a backup in the hope that that will resolve the issue.:mad:

    I'm not sure what the issue was, but I decided to try a different way of solving the problem. My server has a 2.5Gbps port and the 10Gbps card I added, so I've connected the HD Homerun directly to the 2.5G port, and its solved the problem, I can now copy large multiple files to the server and not suffer with picture issues. There is...

    Yes, unfortunately, this would need a code change to support it. Next time I'm doing something on the plugin I'll try and remember to add support for this sort order.

    It's working after some hours search: the Auto3D plugin which I haven't used for years was corrupting the start of the TV live stream from server to MP. If anyone has a similar problem - disable all old plugins and then enable one after another :-)

    It’s technically not possible to combine the library and folder view. This is also the case for other HTPC softwares I fear. The media can quickly organized by filters, sorting etc., it’s not about fanart. The folder view is meant just as a basic navigation feature.
