Where did you install that file? I experienced the same problem when trying to import my series yesterday. The program just freezed and I had to use ctrl+alt+del to get out.

The Wiki is here

Extensions-Plugins/MP-TVSeries - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation

This is from the installation bit;

Most users just need to drop the file structure inside the .rar file into their MediaPortal directory (usually C:\Program Files\Team Mediaportal\Mediaportal), overriding any existing files and making sure the path information is retained. You need to use a skin that has support for MP-TVSeries -- for example, Blue Two (B2), Blue Two Wide (B2 Wide), or Project Mayhem III (PMIII) -- or else you will need to manually copy the TV-Series.xml skin file into the skin directory of your choice (TV-Series.xml can be found in the directory of any of these skins). Or you can try to create/modify one for your skin yourself.

If you wish to have the plugin parse out file information (resolution, bitrate, etc.) you have to get the latest version of "Mediainfo" at SourceForge.net: Files. At the time of this writing the latest version of Mediainfo is 0.7.6.2. It is generally recommended you use the latest version; however, newer versions may cease to function with the plugin. After downloading it place the mediainfo.dll file in the "Windows"-plugins folder of your Mediaportal installation.

If you have configured MP to use non-default directories, and especially if you moved the language directory somewhere else, you will also have to make sure you manually install the plugin's translation files there (always create a subfolder called MP-TVSeries under the languages folder).

If you plan to use the latest SVN, you need to download that separately, and put the MP-TVSeries.dll in the \Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\Windows\-folder. Click "Yes" to overwrite any existing file.

To enable and configure the plugin, start MediaPortal Configuration, choose Plugins, right click on the entry "MP-TVSeries", then click Configuration.

I missed the bit which i have highlighted in red before aswell!

@CyberSimian Sorry, I missed your last post. I ended up doing a clean install on the client and all is well now. It still doesn't let me go back in time when I change channels but it does continue operating from that point on. I'm ok with that. Thanks for your help! EDIT: I now downgraded the server (as I did with the client above)...

I compliment you on the thoroughness of your investigations. (y) Unfortunately, I don't have any ideas what the problem might be. :( Perhaps someone else will post with some suggestions. :unsure: -- from CyberSimian in the UK

I do not know why this xml was in my theme folders, it must have sneaked in some time ago (years?). I simply removed the file. The Latest Media Handler plugin seems to be working as expected. I've had no lock-ups.
