I 've bought a Digital Devices Max S8 DVB-S2 Tuner Card, but there seems to be a tuning Problem with the TV-Server.
The card reports no signal all the time.
In DVBViewer it is working.

Has anyone an idea?

Please post TV service log files so we can check why TV Server is reporting no signal.
Also, please make sure that you restart the TV service after testing in DVBViewer. Otherwise DVBViewer can prevent TV Server from using the tuners successfully.

    Here it comes.
As you told me cleared logs. Set log to DEBUG. Restarted TVService.
    Here is the logfile

What mode are you using the tuner with? (quad LNB, quattro LNB, or unicable)

It is connected to 4 lines of a multiswitch.
Mode is set to: Quad LNB or 4 multiswitch lines
In German "Quad LNB oder 4 Multiswitch Ausgänge", which is the first Option in DD-Control Center.

    Hmmm, interesting.
I'm not sure what is wrong.
How did you create the channels that you're testing?
Could you please try to [temporarily] disable preloading for all tuners, and see if it makes any difference?

The Channel list is from my previosly installed DD Cine S2, because a channel scan is not possible with the DD Max S8.
Disabled Preloading -> restarted -> no difference

I think either you or us will have to contact DD and ask them what could be wrong. This tuner is very new. Sometimes there are problems like this for a little while.

Perhaps... Only way to confirm would be for me to invest in a different USB DVB-S2 tuner (like the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S2), which I might do if the issue persists.

When I tested MP 2.5 some months ago using TVE3.5, I found that "scan for channels" failed to find any channels when I selected a DVB-T2 tuner (a TBS 6284) :(, but succeeded when I used a DVB-T tuner (a Pinnacle 2000i) :). Obviously the Pinnacle found only those channels broadcast in DVB-T MUXes (in the UK we have both DVB-T MUXes and...
