Unticking? Try to tick the missing WMV types. That also does the trick. And gave me 5.1 Sound back on WMV Files.

Please note that Lav codec splitter Asf option is not enabled by default. Even for wma for audio codec.

I've resolved playing issue enabling those option.

I hope Mediaportal will handle those options in the future by its configuration because LAVSplitterSettings.h, LAVAudioSettings.h and LAVVideoSettings.h are avaiable for this purpose.

I have try something in that way :

On first clean installation of MP and if LAVSplitter is selected by default (that should be done if user select installation of LAV suite), these above value (asf / wma / wmalossless) will be checked by default.

I have do it like this, because i don't want to always force the setting, like this the user can uncheck it later.

That means by default on fresh Installation and/or an upgrade and if lav is set as splitter, the value will be checked :)

I can supply a MP configuration bin for testing :)

Interesting. :coffee: I always have DVB subtitles enabled in "MP Config", but I actually switch on subtitles only for those films that have deafening sound effects and music, combined with inaudible dialogue. I compliment you on the thoroughness of your investigations. (y) Unfortunately, I don't have any ideas what the problem might be. :( Perhaps someone else will post with some suggestions. -- from CyberSimian in the UK

So, you're power cycling the TV, but not putting the PC to sleep ? In General => Startup/Resume settings, try checking "Ignore Windows resolution/size changes" In Codecs and Render, try selecting the specific audio device rather than "Default DirectSound device" Just ideas, no guarantee this will do anything. If this doesn't work, I...

There seems to be an ongoing problem that some users have when trying to install MP 1.36. I regret that I do not know the cause of this problem, and so cannot suggest a solution. However, I can suggest a workaround that (hopefully) will work for you. The workaround is to: Completely uninstall MP, MySQL, and MariaDB. Perform a...

Thank you for pointing out that my analysis may be less than accurate. :p Although the change to TV channel 71 may not also have been applied to the independent radio channels (different MUXes), the logs that I prepared for one of the development team does show a difference between channel 704 ("BBC Radio 4") and channel 731...
