Not working, still flickering. One thing i noticed is that when you install MP 1.1.0. RC1 in a different location than the standard c:\programfiles ......etc. Your settings are not going to be deleted while the installer says it will be a clean installation.

    So, I guess a new videocard ?

Actually, today I also spotted some flickering. I was watching Discovery HD.

It always flickers :( But not that much often as it did before (with xFactor).

Please continue testing with 10.2 Catalyst driver version and report if it has cured the flickering. We could go even as far as remove that ATI related extra texture copy step that causes lewer end GPUs to perform badly with MP. I won't promise anything as it requires lot of testing and I'm not sure if we have enough time for that before 1.1.0.
I can confirm, no flickering any more:D
    I use Catalyst 10.2 and MP 1.1 RC1

I still have flickering, nothing major, has not been major for a while with H.264... Am not able to test SD as I do not use SKY integration any more, only FreeviewHD... But it is still there.. Mainly when just navigating.... Very minor though...

    Hi there,

I tried ATI 10.2 with MePo RC1 - and still had flickering - but nothing major - its easily ignorable.

But, 10.2 did cause major stuttering - virtually unwatchable (on various channels). It seemed fine for a few seconds, then seemed to hang for a second or two...

I tried with both DXVA enabled and disabled - still had problems (tried this with PDVD and MS Codecs)

I downgraded back to 9.8, which seems to work fine (with DXVA on) - except I am getting dropped frames with just Channel4 HD (about 10% dropped) - its not noticable

    All other channels seem fine??!!

I will try again with 10.2 (ensuring everything is fully uninstalled and then reinstall)

    Thanks,

    J.

    Hi there,

I tried ATI 10.2 again, and its usable for me. :(

I tried with DXVA on and off.

For some reason my FPS drops to 10 with 10.2? (with major dropped frames)??

I revert back to 9.8 and everything is fine (except for Channel 4 HD - which shows dropped frames - but is watchable, other HD channels are fine). Why would just one HD channel have issues and not others? I can watch HD films with no issues.

I have just ordered a TV to go on my test rig (currently has a 17" monitor), so I can check that, incase my main HTPC has issues with the 10.2 drivers (might need a full rebuild)

    Thanks,

    J.

    Windows Vista x64
    ATI HD 3450
    Intel Core2Duo
    Catalyst 9.8
    MePo 1.02
    PDVD9 for h264
    Black Glass Skin

Massive flickering - epilepsy inducing grade

    To:

    Windows 7 x64
    ATI HD 3450
    Intel Core2Duo
    Catalyst 10.2
    MePo 1.1.0 RC1
Arcsoft for H264 (PDvD9 doesnt work well anymore, stuttering, slowdowns and speedups?)
    StreamedMP Skin

Annoying flickering, but somewhat managable. PDVD9, though slow, still had flickering as well.

Also noticed even in the old set up skins can make it more/less noticable. (Logical i guess, depending on use of overlays i assume).
