yep, I use Flirc-V1 for main living room MP1 v1.16 client. Takes a little playing with flirc to see how flirc setup works. You also need the MP keyboard shortcuts from Keyboard Shortcuts MediaPortal (MP1) Keyboard Shortcuts MediaPortal - MediaPortal 1 - MediaPortal Wiki

I ended up making simple spreadsheet with 3 columns to keep track of how buttons/keyboard/Mp-Actions are mapped. Its easy to get lost halfway through doing the setup and trying to reuse/program the same remote button for multiple functions. There are a couple other threads about people using flirc,

Thanks for explaining. I found a passing reference to this here: https://www.team-mediaportal.com/wiki/display/MediaPortal1/HID%20Profiles which I had overlooked in the past. I would find it logical for a created custom profile to be automatically activated, but until that happens, I will try to create a wiki page for the current...

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...

I meant use MP client to try to spot how it's requesting streams for specific channels and then try to do the same with VLC. TV Server development looks dead so I'm afraid you're going to have to figure that out by yourself if it's even possible.
