FloppyDTV and Casema HDTV (1 Viewer)

Hi,

What do I have to configure to recieve HDTV channels from Casema. I have a HDTV enabled smartcard but iI can't autotune HDTV channels.

Try using TVsever3 and and a codec suppoting hdtv.
I use the cyberlink powerdvd codecs.

Only Discovery HD really works ok.
NL HD and NGC HD are stuttering;-(

If you find a way to get them all working, keep me posted...

For me, all 3 are working very well. I installed cyberlink powerdvd 7.3 and nvidia purevideo HD. I set H.264 codec on cyberlink, mpeg-2 on nvidia.

I've a nvidia 8600GTS, so I'll offload the H.264 and MPEG-2 to the GPU using hardware acceleration, CPU load is very low.

Only problem i can't get sorted out is the audio. Some channels have no sound, Most channel do have sound, and some channels have chipmonk sound (very quick and high voices, like aliens are talking). How's audio working at your setup?

Is TVServer3 absolutely necessary for HDTV to work?

I was using Tvengine 2 for ages with HD channels, then the broadcasts moved over to MPEG4 the HD channels stopped working. Upgrading to Engine3 brought them back to life.

I tried with TV engine 2, but all I got was black screen. I tried TV engine 3 months before and this wasn't a success, slow channel switching, I couldn't get master/slave server working.

So, I thought, now i can receive HDTV, lets try tv3 engine again, on my local mediaportal system. Surprisingly the reliabilitie has inproved a lot over the lasts months and channel switching is really quick.

I'm so impressed I'll stick with TVServer 3. Now only wait until the master/slave configuration will work.
