Quick question about this, I am still getting some movies with IMDB in the title after refreshing all movies with IMDB+.
Is there a place you want us to send this to?

    Some examples are:
    IMDB - Jumper
    IMDB - Legend (from 1985)
    IMDB - Limitless
    IMDB - School Of Rock
    IMDB - The Mechanic
    IMDB - The Proposal

Open the IMDb+ plugin and use the "IMDb+ Info" option inside the hidden menu as per:

    MePo.IMDb+.Info.1.png

There you verify that the IMDb+ scraper position is 'First', which relates to newly imported movies. If another scraper is first, such as default imdb.com one, then you will not get the benefits of IMDb+ scraper. So check to see if it shows 'First' and not a number.

Then on the second screen you can then also verify if 'all' your existing movies were imported with the IMDb+ scraper-script, as per:

    MePo.IMDb+.Info.2.png

In ideal situation the "Movies that use a different scraper" is set at '0'. There are however valid reasons when that value is not zero, for example when you are using the CDUniverse adult scraper, or have movies that simply do not exist at imdb.com.

To fix the 'First' priority problem, open MovingPictures configuration and go to the "Importer" tab and click on the manage data sources button, and there you can adjust IMDb+ scraper position to the top. We're currently trying to add this function to the IMDb+ plugin, but it will take some more time to test this, so unfortunatly for the time being you have to manually correct it when this happens.

To make all your other movies start using the IMDb+ scraper-script, then use the IMDb+ plugin hidden menu option of "Force IMDb+". Once you've switched over every movie to use the IMDb+ scraper-script, then you can use the IMDb+ plugin hidden menu to refresh your entire collection and correct all those mistakes in an easy way. If you have a very large collection then you could refresh only the letter 'I', or manually update each movie individually.

REMEMBER: to first activate the IMDb+ plugin scraper option to "Refresh all fields", because since you are refreshing, by default the IMDb+ script only updates the score, votes and certifications. So you have to first enable the option to update everything otherwise the title does not get updated. Once your collection is refreshed, then you can toggle that setting back again so that future refreshes will go faster.

    Thanks for the info
I had already forced IMDB+ but I needed to do this:

    All good now.

I am also getting "IMDb - " in the beginning of a few titles ("Cocktail" and "Collateral") even if I explicitly choose to refresh data using IMDb+. I don't see any reason why those two would still use that title when I do a refresh. Do I have to disable the IMDb scraper?

Also, what is the reason for using ID4 as name for Independence Day? Sure, it's commonly called that, but I have selected to use the original title and that should be Independence Day, right?

Similarly, The Incredibles is for some reason called The Incredibles 3-D. Why would it select that title when it's not the original title and not a foreign title?

I had a few pesky titles that still kept the IMDB in front of the name even after doing the 'refresh all fields'. I sent those titles back to the movie importer and they came back fine. Might be something to try.

More then likely those titles were still linked to the default imdb.com scraper then. The "IMDb+ Info" method can show you if any movie is still using an alternative scraper-script. You can refresh all you want then, but it will not be corrected then via IMDb+ scraper-script.

However sending it back to the importer with IMDb+ configured in primary/first position will then fix it as well, but you then loose watched flag and date-of-import data. This why the "Force IMDb+" function was added to the IMDb+ plugin so you could switch movies over to start using the IMDb+ scraper-script without loosing that.

Either way, glad you got it solved, that's all that matters :)
