Thanks everyone.

The benefit of building the characters in 3D is that it's a no brianer to re colour them.
I am currently doing the 16:9 version but hope to do the 4:3 version as well. It all comes down to having the time

I'm just going to wade into this a step at a time as I'm pretty committed to other projects.

Looking at your website I was reminded of a thought, which I had a while ago, but never mentioned it. Haven´t even brought this up with design team, simply forgot about it for some time. So atm it is only my personal idea.

Promotion of Mediaportal could get a push if there was a logo mascot. With or without MP-Logo, but something easy recognizable and emotional.
I am thinking in the lines of the linux penguin or the fox from firefox.
(Maybe the 3D buddies could be developped in this direction. You´d need a couple of different ones if you want to show the core possibilities of a mediacenter, but for this the buddies would need a face.)

But if the idea gets some support, you´d easily qualify for some sketches

Yes. i think that would be great. My problem with the budiies is that they are very messenger like and would need a lot of altering.

Please note that there will be an officially supported B2 widescreen release upscaled to 1366*768 in a few days - maybe this saves you some work ;-)

Great work… there simple but affective alteration give a clear view of what is trying to be represented. This one thing I wound love to master, that’s 3D work. But I feel that I will have to do a course so that I get the full potential of the software(s). Mind you all my graphic design have been self tort so far.

Looking forward in seeing what and how far you can push the skinning engine.

P.S Now I know who is responsible for that Cheese stringer man advert, please don’t make another one I do like a lot of your other ads though.
