Hello,

Look into a program called zap2xml. I used this for a while before I subscribed to schedules direct and it worked great. The only reason I subscribed to schedules direct is because I was dabbing with MythTV for a little bit. It is a screen scraper and also is command line based but it works great. If you need help seetin it up and what not I can help you set it up and write a quick bat file for you to make life easy but I will be a little slow in doing it as time is limited. But it's not hard. And it works great.

http://zap2xml.110mb.com/

That's the website to download it. Follow the instructions on there closely for creating a zap2xml account on their website. Follow the directions for adding a tv line up and selecting your favorite channels. Basically youll add all the channels in your favorite list. Select the grid size at it says in the directions. Then you go to the command line in windows and go to the directory you saved zap2xml at. (Note You will need a couple of the files from the xmltv folder in MediaPortal with zap2xml to make it work. Once your in the folder I think you will type

zap2xml - U " your user name for zap2it with out quatations" -p "passwird for zap2it with out quotations" -o tvguide.xml

Again if you not figure it out drop me a PM and I will just write you a bat file along with all the files needed to make it magically work and then you can just add the bat file in as a scheduled task to get new program data everyday.

Thank you for confirming that U&W works for you. I ended up deleting U&W and rescanning for channels. That fixed the issue.

Got a reply from SD ... "Looks like your last successful download was on 5/23. On 5/24 for some reason we received 194 connections between 10:54 and 11:05 triggering a denial of service attack ban. The logs show it was lifted on 5/25, but I still see the entry in iptables. I reset fail2ban and hopefully you're working again." Weird...

Update: Problem solved! The electronic program guides (tvguide.xml) have been successfully transferred to MediaPortal. The issue stemmed from the corruption of one or both of the mc2xml.dat and/or mc2xml.exe files, for an unknown reason. Consequently, even though the tvguide.xml file appeared to be updated, its content kept being an...
