Have a AMD 2200+ CPU, 512MB ram and a ATI 9800SE Graphics card.

When watcing TV I have a CPU load around 70-80% Isn't that very high for a PVR500?

I have the PVR500 (P4 3.00 Ghz, 1 Gb Ram, Geforce 6800 256 MB) and have a CPU load from 15-20% while watching TV.

So yes, yours is pretty high. Don't know what the solution could be

That's what I heard most people with PVR500 have.

I have all the newest drivers etc installed. What codec is the best one for the PVR 500? I'm currently using the MPEG2Dec Video Decoder.

Switched to Nvidia Codec and enabled HW - Now the CPU load is 10-30% So it was the codec..

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

Fresh install of MP with Moving Pictures and IMDB+ (newest versions) on a new Windows 10 machine. Started scraping part of my library. I'm used to a relatively smooth and fast process. But now it was EXTREMELY slow. Also many titles that always gets identified by IMDB+ now were not. Themoviedb.org instead provided details. At first...

Hi @azzuro, I don’t know what was wrong with loading onto my new HTPC. After many days of trying to get MePo to work, I’m afraid I gave up and jumped ship to Kodi - which worked first time without problems. After 10 years with Mediaportal, it was a huge shame to leave but I couldn’t get it to work at all with my new PC with integrated...
