Dont think it's an ATI thing, I have crashing when playing a track first time.
Card is a XFX 8800gt alphadog.....so same problem with Nvidia.

I get no errors in my logs as far as I can see so i'm at a loss as to why it crashes the first time but is then fine once you restart MP. If I then reboot the whole PC and try again it will crash until I relaunch MP again.

Hi, can you confirm which gpu you have, if onboard, change memory allocation from auto to at least 128mb in BIOS.

Hi

Just cannot think of reason why this is happening to a few people, but not the majority, there has to be something consistant whether hardware, OS, updates or possibly other software including antivirus\antispyware that's preventing normal use of winamp viz's.

Even googled this and nothing really showing any problems, that could be pinpointed down to a component.

Yes, I have that on 2 of mine, although my other has soundblaster audigy as primary audio.

Same on my machine. Crash on first run after reboot. After that no problems...
