    Here are the results of the german jury (for a 6.02 minutes SD-recording; attention: there is probably overhead included too):

    Flash Ultra Low Quality: 39,16 MiB -> ~ 110 KiB/s
    Flash Low Quality: 54,31 MiB -> ~ 153 KiB/s
    Flash Medium: 63,75 MiB -> ~ 180 KiB/s
    Flash High Quality: 90,49 MiB -> ~255 KiB/s

    I have given up after this test since my CPU isn’t powerful enough…but I think it might be useful for others users…

    The problem with predicting bandwidth usage is that it should theoretically be equal to the video bitrate + the audio bitrate, but it isn't even close in most cases. This might be due to encoder inefficiencies with VBR and it might work better with steady material instead of material with a lot of action, but I've no clue why the difference is so big.

    So testing it is really the only good option, most of the time.

    Im afraid it's needed a lot of bandwidth. I've a 2mbits upload/6 Mbits download connexion and I cant use any of the flash or http formats. For some reason the bandwidth required is much more than expected. My playback stops every 10-15 sec to buffer. I use i5 3570 ivy bridge processor that can handle various sd channels simultaneously on local network but not thought Internet.
    For the testin i use same quality Than the comertial Spanish TVE channel with 576x324 vbr around 800 kbps that brings good quality flash and can be play with low Internet speed like 500 Kbps or less. Ours mpextended takes my full 2Mbps. Making impossible to stream over Internet regardless of the quality...

    I did my own measurements by using Resource Monitor but came nowhere close to The_Stig's numbers. I guess more bandwidth is needed to stream over the internet though..

    Imho its not too much of difference between our results. Could be - as @Oxan said - due to material.

    @alexdepalma, what I have recognized during my tests is that my bandwith is maxed out for a certain time and then going down significantly. This means MPExtented is trying to stream the whole content. But I tested only with a recording, not with LiveTV.

    Yes, but only in WebMP... aMPdroid only buffers a certain amount of time... This is something we want to change in WebMP too but it requires changes to the web player.

    Well, I had already recognized your problem, but I still wanted to point out the basic connections once again. Unfortunately, I don't have a fundamentally different solution for you, but with this approach you should achieve your goal. ;) The idea of first setting the current genre colors with the defines is certainly a good one, as...

    Hi This is a general question about OnX. I have been using the TvWishList plugin for a while and have recently updated (update install) from MP 1.36 x86 to 1.37 x86 and found there seemed to be no Onx menu in the TV guide. I then configured the onx.presets.xml file like I would normally do with updates or fresh installs, but still...
