AW: How to install Mediaportal on Windows 2008 R2 (x64 only)

Thanks for fixing my problem! now all Cards are shown up in Mediaportal.

Can u tell me how u did it?

Maybe there other people out there with the same TV-Cards / problem so they can fix it on their own.

Im so happy right now :D

I only woke up at 4 o clock in the morning to thank you because im so exited! :D

(only problem left: scanning channels wont work.
I will inform you if got it work)

Update: The first successes have become apparent.
I tested with the programm progDVB and only enabled one tuner and checked "Not start more than one Device at once"
Then i got a signal from the listed channels and EPG works too .He tells that i have to change the codecs settings but the programm allways crashes when i change them but that doesnt matter cause i wont use it anyway ^^

Update2: Now i manually added 1 channel to mediaportal
installed K-lite codec pack and rebooted
-> client: can select channel and epg working but no video (video is black)

Update 3: Channel scan works now by adding new astra satellite xmls
Tutorial only copy this files in the folder (german Channels only): https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/tipps-tricks-tutorials-176/deutsche-sat-19-2-e-astra-kanaele-inkl-hd-und-sky-tuningparameters-upd-07-01-2012-a-77425/

So now my problem is that i cant watch the channels: they are black and no sound on server and client ()
I installed SAF v6 (codec) and Directx9-10-11 (i removed k-lite codes before))
And i can watch in WMP divx videos on the server and client
All channel are working fine with DVBViewer when i stop the tv service so dvbviewer can get access to the 1tuner
But in Mediaportal channel preview and watching channels doesn't work.
Testing channels in mediaportal works great. And Teletext(videotext) works also.

Do you have an idea why it's working in DVBViewer but not in Mediaportal?

Thx for your help again :D

    no prob..

for some reason you had the "bdaforserver" folder in an extra bdaforserver folder.. so the batch files didnt work ..
    (c:\bdaforserver\bdaforserver\......)
it should be c:\bdaforserver\.. because its hardcoded in the batchfiles..
so they failed.... i fixed that..

and a needed service for pci-x was disabled.. which is needed for your cards..

i was trying again to fix your black screen stuff.. but you have changed the password, so cant remote control and fix it .. :D

I changed the password back. Now u have remote acces again.

    Next question would be ^^
i have 2 encypting card for my two CI-Slots
    1. alphacrypth + Sky A02 card
    2. Diablocam + ORF HD
I have alse a Cryptoworks (not used)

How do i get this two working? In Mediaportal it says he can't open CI-Menü and in Driver-program he also cant open the ci-Menü

    Update:
DVBViewer played 5sec sky cinema +1 then stopped (i didnt updated any firmeware)

the reason your clients wouldnt work is because your win2k8 r2 machine has the Domain controller role added.
when you install MP, it does add firewall rules for exceptions so the client can connect, but then there based on membership of the domain . so only clients that are actually in the domain can connect to the DB and tvserver..
and your clients are not in the domain..
so I changed the MP and MYSql firewall rules to allow all traffic (domain, public, private) instead of only domain.
and your client works (all others probably also).

    happy watching

to give this story a happy ending for other viewers or maybe even users of the same card(s) (which came to conclusion in private messages)
the problem was in his new hardware with MP, as MP is in progress of supporting so called cascaded cams..

the workaround for this hardware is found here:

i followed the guide, everything worked, i was happy!

    but now....

Added some memory to my server, installed the latest updates and restarted.

Now my client can not connect to TVservice.
On the server i can start timeshifting.
From the client i can telnet to port 554...

but MePo still gives errors :(

    Anybody any clues?

(disabled the entire firewall for testing)

    =====[EDIT]=====

    Sorry, shouted too soon.
    De-installed MePo TvService (with DB-deletion) and re-installed.
    Everything worked again.

    Strange. Perhaps MySql DB corruption?
