How to use the current SVN version? (1 Viewer)

Hi Albert!
Can you please explain me what i doing wrong?
I downloaded completly the SVN, compiled with VS2008, after that i run the MP-Server and its running, but i can't run the MP-Client, every time i doubleclick the MP2-Client.exe nothing happens. In the task manager i can see that the process MP2-Client.exe is running for few seconds and then gets closed.

I remember I also had that issue when I tried to run the client on a Vista system. But I don't remember what the problem was. Can you start the client from Visual Studio and see the debug output?

I had the same issue, after checking the log it was throwing an exception when it couldn't find something associated with SlimDx. Turns out I had forgotten to install the DirectX SDK ( Microsoft DirectX Downloads ). I can get it load now, but I'm getting another error about the client not being able to find the messagebroker. I can atleast see the home menu before it breaks though

yep, i forgot about the DXSDK...shame on me Next time I will read more accurately the wiki

No, thanks for the "bug report". I don't have time to check all possible error conditions and their symptoms, so it is a helpful information.

In the installed version, the DX dlls will be shipped with the application.
