how to wake up my computer? (3 Viewers)

hello,
how can i wake up my computer from hibernation in order to record some stuff any time i'm absent?
are there any plugins?

if somebody suspends/hibernates the computer manualy (ie with the remote) will the computer still know when to resume to record the sheduled recording?

Using the mce remote with TVE3 installed mine does work, this is with xp pro, have not tried with Vista, as i know there is another powerscheduler problem, that is hopefully being looked at now.

ok, I just use the nomal media protal, no server.
so do i just need to install the server program.
Maybe I should setup my other computer as a server and put the TV cards in that.
Its a 1.8Celeron. Will that be be enough to record and watch Live TV? I would need to setup Wake on Lan or something I guess then

You can install the TV server on the same system as your client or on a other one. The powerscheduler plugin of the server does manage the wake up. At least here under XP it does that in all conditions, no matter how the system was send into standby or hibernate.

To make sure that the server part does not send you system into standby while you are using Mediaportal, there is also Powerscheduler Client Plugin (not the normal PowerScheduler) that has to be enabled.
