I moved my 720p TV to the bedroom and would like to hook up a quiet PC to it for MediaPortal. Can anyone suggest something that is cheap and known to be stable for MediaPortal?

For cheapest build you probably need to build a custom pc yourself. there are plenty of threads already to suggest what to put in it. To save money you might get a motherboard with integrated gfx.

    Hi!

I use an Asus EeeBox EB1012. In Germany about 329,- €. Works perfect with MP

Full HD / small / silent / save electricity

A perfect solution for me. (I guess you are in multiseat mode!?)

I'm in the same situation, but, I've a 22" monitor and I want the HTPC for internet and emulators too.

It's spanish but I think iit's clear enough... will I have any compatibility problems?

    Thanks!

The Asrock 330 is good, but not silent. I wouldn't want mine in the bedroom. The PSU makes a horrible whistling noise when the PC is on standby, for a start :(

    Thanks!!!

Finally I have bought a reduced version os the PC listed on #5, there is no need os DDR3 for that use.
Now I'm configuring MP, I hope to finish soon.

Ran into this problem following an otherwise sucessful upgrade from MP 1.34 x64 to MP 1.35 x64 the CEC Remote plugin which I use just to control volume and standby, will no longer put my devices (TV & AVR) to sleep when the HTPC is put in standby. Also when I wake up the HTPC MP closes or crashes (not sure which) as per the example in...

The only changes I see are: Updated Marcel Groothuis version of the plugin to now support Media Portal 2.5 I can't say anything about the functionality of this plugin, I don't use TV Part, but if there are any changes that can be simply transferred, then I can try. But I can't give any guarantees.
