Vanessa - You are funny. I don't think I've seen someone change their avatar as often as you do. Nothing bad, just kind gave me a chuckle. But then, I've been told I have a strange sense of humor.

Mike

well i change my avatar as in MSN :p

Now i changed my avatar because i can't confuse anyone with my MP logo...

Vanessa, please go back to yesterdays avatar picture. It shows more of your corporate design ( ) and I don't the tree picture because it remembers too much on harvest (and it's still summer).

thanks+regards

Not wanting to get into a big thing on brand marketing, I still feel the need to give my opinions:

1. While the MP logo is not bad, it is far from the best logo I have ever seen. As organizations grow they often hit a point where they realize that what they had to start with was fine, but now they are capable of more. It is not easy to part with the old (mentally or physically), but a newer logo and image can sometimes better represent the group and help to pull in new people.

2. The MP splash screen is starting to look outdated. Mind you, there are a lot of other splash screens that are suffering the same fate, and there are probably a lot more important things to work on for most of the developers, but the era of snazzy graphics and transparent backgrounds is upon us. As people start seeing elaborate splash screens they start to wonder about products that don't make the same flashy entrance.

Anyway, I applaud Vanessa for trying this out. She obviously wants MP to look spectacular, and is trying in every way possible. Seeing Adobe splashscreens every day is bound to make her want to replace this one (I have always thought Adobe had some of the best).

    Hi,

. i think also, that it is not good to change the Logo. But with a little bit polish up, we can get a more modern version.

I avoid touching that system as long as it runs. Now that 2.4.1 seems to run again, I probably wait for the next issue.
