The keyboard shortcut handling is one of the big topics for the next alpha release. We do not have a configuration like in MP1 yet.
Currently supported are the multimedia keys (Play, Pause, Skip,...) when using keyboard. When you use the IRSS build from "plugins" subforum, you can already use many known remotes (multimedia keys, back key, ...).
Besides this basic navigation and multimedia functions each screen file can assign functions to keys, I use this inside Tv fullscreen to map page up/page down to channel changes.

I have used custom actions in the "Mapping" section of "HID" since moving to a FLIRC as a remote receiver a couple of years ago...
