I am running the latest SVN file and the new TV engine.... the USBUIRT is working just fine for me... I really don't think there is an issue with it.

When you say the new Tv engine, you are talking about the new BETA TV Server right ??

I think I might be having the same problem. I had the new 2.1 stable build working fine with my USBUIRT, then I moved on to the latest SVN and I got the 'USBUIRT not detected' message. I have since moved back to 2.1 stable and I'm still getting the 'USBUIRT not detected' message. Could it be a problem other than Media Portal? a windows update or something.

Try applying the SVN 10/10/06. I think it is MediaPortal-svn--10-10-2006--01-00-Rev10964.exe or previous and see if that fixes the problem.

I am able to swap back and forth between CVS builds and see the problem appear and dissappear so I don't think it is a windows problem.

I still think, this should be conseidered an issue:

I gave it another try today using the most current SVN version - unfortunately still without success :(

After installing 2.0.0.0, USBUIRT is detected propely:

After installing the most current SVN, USBIURT device is not detected anymore:

I would appreciate to see this working since I am not able to install any SVNs anymore... And they include some important upgrades compared to 0.2.0.0 or 0.2.1.0.

I havn't been brave enough to try one of the SVN's again. I did a complete reinstall (wiped all configs) with 0.2.1.0. Now the USBUIRT is working again. I guess I should try a SVN again and see what happens.

I just reloaded XP like a week ago and loaded on all of my USB-UIRT drivers. Here is what I have under usb-uirt:

    Firmware Version 5.9 (March 26, 2004)
    Usburit Plugin Version 1.16 (February 18, 2006)

I have not had one problem with my usbuirt. I just loaded on SVN 11545 and TV Engine SVN 11545 and have had no problems with it. I simply copy over my .XML for the remote and then go into it. I check the box, and go into learn commands to make sure they are there... exit out to save and everything works just fine.

When you go in and MP does not find your usbuirt, I would go into the device manager to make sure it's all there and working. Seems very strange that it would work with just 0.2.0.0 and then not work when you install the svn. Its pretty much just copying files over.

I just upgraded to the same firmware - did not help.

What XML are you talking about? I haven't touched any XML files in MP since months...

It is available in the device manager - I can even wake up my media center using my remote and USBUIRT - so that is not the issue.

In the windows device controller the "USB-UIRT Device" is shown. Here are the driver properties:

Thanks a lot for your help, ASiDiE.
