The xml is for all my remote codes so I don't have to keep going throught the process of setting up my keys everytime. I am at a lost to why the svn would be causing your problems with your USB-uirt. The more I think about it the code probably did not change from the svn's and 0.2.1.0. Steve has not worked on this USB-uirt code that I know of.... very strange.

If it's any help, "MediaPortal-svn--10-10-2006--01-00-Rev10964.exe" was the last CVS to contain a working version of USBUIRT. All CVS after that one give me the "Not Detected" error. Is there any chance something was changed at that point ?

Just to summarize how I can reproduce the issue on my media centre:
    • rename current MediaPortal folder to MediaPortal_
    • restore standard 0.2.0.0 MediaPortal folder to MediaPortal
    • run configure.exe, check whether USBUIRT is recognized (--> OK)
    • apply build 10964, run configure.exe, check whether USBUIRT is detected (--> OK)
    • apply build 10980, run configure.exe, check whether USBUIRT is detected (--> Not OK)

    Another test I did yesterday
    • uninstall MediaPortal and delete ..\MediaPortal folder
    • install MediaPortal, go through basic configuration
    • run configure.exe, check whether USBUIRT is recognized (--> OK)
    • apply build 10964, run configure.exe, check whether USBUIRT is detected (--> OK)
    • apply build 10980, run configure.exe, check whether USBUIRT is detected (--> Not OK)

    Okay these are the changes:

    10965 : VideoEditor/WindowPlugins - disabled debug-logging = unlikely

    10966 : Capturecarddefinitions = unlikely / tested

    10967 : Capturecarddefinitions = unlikely / tested

    10970 : ttBdaDrvApi_Dll.dll = maybe strange coincidence / tested

    10971 : TVCapture.dll = maybe a following error / tested

    10973 : Core.dll, MyMusic/WindowPlugins = very unlikely

    10977-9 : Filters/MPSA.ax some subtitle stuff = unlikely

10980 : new German dvb-t tuning parameters = very unlikely

    Hi rtv,
    I attach logs for rev10964 and rev10980.
It appears there is 7 MB size difference between this two revs.
For theses logs I do this :
    1/ start configuration.exe.
2/ close configuration.exe by clicking on OK button.
    3/ start MP.
    4/ close MP.

If this can help, I found how to have USBUIRT:Open success in rev10980 and later, with enabling plugin in girder :

    girder plugin disabled :
    then

    girder plugin enabled :
    then

    Regards.

I have tried the latest SVN (Rev11934.exe). Still doesn't work...

Could an admin add the issue to mantis, please?

    Thx

Is anyone else having this issue besides you? I just put on a very clean install of XP (3 weeks ago, Image, sp2... no patches... everything downloaded through windows update) and then MP. I load on MP about every other day. I have never once seen my USB- URIT have 1 lick of problems.

Who else can confirm this issue?

    Good point, ASiDiE.

    So far

    - three people seem to have the issue: framug, BidBuddah and me. framug obviously found a work-around using Girder.
    - one person obviously cannot reproduce the issue, which is you.

Are there more people around using USBUIRT?
