Yup .... there is also a 250u. Besides having low TDP, they have in common that they are very overpriced. Not sure how much less energy is used compared to standard Athlon or e-series, when CPU is idle or low (which is usually the case).

Yes, the article also mentions the high prize but I guess that they will drop after some time.
They are 25W TDP cpu's so that's even better then comparable mobile versions. I'm curious about power consumption in different states but on paper they seem to be interesting (fan less) HTPC candidates.

I think the CPU idle power usage is the very important if you are building a HTPC that will be on 24/7, You can calculate te money that you save each year when you buy a low power CPU and then compare the two versions. Not making a decision based on only the price in the store...
I agree with you if you where talking about power hungry gaming rigs, because the are most of the time off ;-(

@CyberSimian Sorry, I missed your last post. I ended up doing a clean install on the client and all is well now. It still doesn't let me go back in time when I change channels but it does continue operating from that point on. I'm ok with that. Thanks for your help!

When I first start watching a TV program the timeshift functions works perfectly. I can shift back and forth in time and it works...
The only configuration that is certain to work is when the MP client and MP server are from the same release.
It is sometimes possible to use MP clients from a release that is different to the MP server, but whether it works depends on the specific changes that were made between the two releases.
