    Hi again folks

I just wanted to give you a quick update. Several days ago I presented a patch for this problem to the team. I'm strongly advocating that it gets added to 1.2.0b which is scheduled for release on 24 February, however it is rather close to missing the cut-off date for changes. I will let you know what the team decide. If they decide not to include the patch until 1.2.0 RC then I will provide a patches for you...

I'll post again soon, hopefully with good news ;)

Good deal! It would be nice to be able to take advantage of my 22kHz switch and have 5 sats again!:)

    Hi again guys

The team have decided not to include my patch in 1.2.0 because they want to resolve the issue by allowing custom "band" settings and better 22kHz, tone burst and DiSEqC configuration. They didn't want to fix this issue now only to have to make changes again in 1.3. Obviously I am disappointed with this outcome, however as promised I will provide you (and anyone else who is interested) with patches. It seems like you're both using MP 1.2.0a at the moment, so I'm attaching a patch for that version. You will have to apply database changes for this patch to work, but the changes will be reversible and won't affect the standard DB structure (so you'll be able to upgrade to 1.2.0b, 1.2.0rc etc. when they're released, but I'll have to provide patches for each upgrade).

    Instructions for use:
    1. Stop TV Server.
    2. Take a backup of the following files in your TV Server install folder:
    - SetupControls.dll
    - SetupTv.exe
    - TvBusinessLayer.dll
    - TVDatabase.dll
    - TVLibrary.dll
    - TvLibrary.Interfaces.dll
    3. Download and extract the files attached to this post into your TV Server install folder.
    4. Copy the following files from the TV Server install folder into your MediaPortal client install folder:
    - TvBusinessLayer.dll
    - TVDatabase.dll
    - TvLibrary.Interfaces.dll
    5. Run the appropriate database script on your database.

After that, hopefully you should be able to restart TV Server and custom LNB frequencies will work per-channel. ;)

Regarding support: if you have any problems just let me know and I'll do my best to help you sort them out. I can also give you a code patch file if you *really* want it, but I have really only hacked this fix up to make things easier for me to provide patches for 1.2.0b, 1.2.0rc etc. later on...

BTW: since I'll probably be the developer who ends up fixing this issue for 1.3.0, any ideas that you really want to see in an "LNB configuration" window would be welcome. Note that when I say "LNB configuration" I mean things like:

    - LNB local oscillator settings
    - DiSEqC switch command
    - raw DiSEqC commands
    - independent 22 kHz control/override (???)
    - independent tone/data burst override (???)
    - DiSEqC motor position (???)

    Hi again guys

    5. Run the appropriate database script on your database.

    File: SQL_Server_Changes.sql

    Code:
[Err] 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'WITH ( ONLINE = OFF )
    GO

ALTER TABLE tuningdetail ADD COLUMN "lnbLowFrequenc' at line 1

    Hi ssenyer

You only need to run either MySQL_Changes.sql or SQL_Server_Changes.sql. Since you have MySQL there is no need to be trying to run the MS SQL script. ;)
