just an FYI - if you havent seen it spuck/matsk88, there ahve been a couple of updates to skins in RC4 - see the main developer blog for details.

spuck - just looking at the dialog boxes - very nice. slight typo though. it should be "dialog" and not "dialogue"

labels are controled by translation files I believe? has nothing to do with the skin.

maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck?
Preferable with as much disabled as possible
also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything)
