Do you have anything besides Videos and Weather as your active plugins? It seems as if Mediaportal wants to have a complete "roller" showing 5 "items" on your homepage so if you only have the two options Videos and Weather they'll keep "looping". I treied removing all the plugins I could from my homescreen leaving "settings" and "plugins" and then I got what you have with "weather" and "videos". So I guess the only solution would be to add more "items" to your homepage.

I have the same issue: but since I have so many entries in the main home menu, it does appear there. It appears in my Plugins screen. Same entry, over and over. It does not bother me there since I am rarely in there.

What you can do is in your config, move items to the main menu (tv,suduko, tetris, other plugins, dvd, radio). This would require enabling or disabling options it appears too...This way, you wont see the same entries over and over, and it will look better.

understand and is a good idea, but I no longer use the buttons as a weather and video. it always looks stupid when it stands out over and over again. but it must be a possibility in the code change I think, but how?

I do not know why this xml was in my theme folders, it must have sneaked in some time ago (years?). I simply removed the file. The Latest Media Handler plugin seems to be working as expected. I've had no lock-ups.

maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck? Preferable with as much disabled as possible also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything) maybe other programs competing for resouces?

Many thanks for the answer. So far I've used Logitech's Harmony hub. This allows you to control all components (including the media portal). I have now contacted the Sofabaton hotline. It should also work here like with the Harmony. Unfortunately, not all of the IR codes are correct. You can also learn commands here. But that doesn't...
