I can't get "Delete with 0" to work using Message Plugin and MP 1.3a. Pressing 0 on the keyboard works but with the remote just sends the cursor to the top of the list of recordings/files.

I posted my logs and a screenshot here if someone could take a look and tell me if I can fix it

I'm using the same settings as you are, and here it works just fine. So doesn't seem related to MessagePlugin, so you probably got something else messed up.

Er, if you've tested with the same settings and don't think it's a MessagePlugin bug then why did you tell me, in the other thread, to post in this one

Anyway, I don't see what else it can be. If I test the remote 0 button in the Search box it correctly produces a 0, so clearly MP is receiving the 0, it's just not doing what it should be in RecordedTV, even though the keyboard 0 does, so I can't see what else it could be except a MessagePlugin bug.

I only told you that you should have posted your bugreport in this forum, since (as you said yourself) your issue isn't related to 1.3Alpha+

I've got the MessagePlugin & the EventTrigger plugin installed. I'm not using the MessagePlugin to control my HTPC, since i use my Harmony for that and got an inbuild eHome receiver in my case, so probably not the same setup. All i can tell you is that with the above MessagePlugin the 0 key on my Harmony still works as expected.

Well this still isn't working for me. I've even tried deleting the entry for "Previous Channel" so the only entries are Slideshow - Zoom Level Normal and No Condition - Key pressed 48 0 but it still just jumps to the top of the list whenever I press 0 on my remote.

I guess I could try changing EventGhost to send Emulate Keystroke 0 instead of Mediaportal: Numpad 0 (even though that does send a 0, as that is what is entered when pressing it with a search box opened). If that doesn't work, I'll have to try disabling the MessagePlugin and see if EG sending 0 works without it.

However, I would like to add some functions to remote buttons which are not available at the moment; Switch Audio Language, or Tune to Favourite Channel #1, for example. Unfortunately, I am very inexperienced in making changes in MediaPortal. Can I add more functions on my own, without recompiling? If yes, can I read about it somewhere?

Well after changing it in EG to send Emulate Keystroke 0 instead of Mediaportal: Numpad 0 it does work properly, so I guess whatever is sent/received by Mediaportal: Numpad 0 from/to EG/Message Plugin isn't a "normal" 0.

Everything that is configurable, is in available in the configuration of the plugin. I didn't program the plugin myself, I only made it compatible with MP 1.2..
