Mini Display Plugin (1 Viewer)

I'm trying to use this plugin with my Soundgraph VFD but I find the configuration lots of confusing, can anyone help me out?

Basically, I still use iMON Manager for other things and I have FrontView configured the way I want. However, it would be nice that when any media type is running on MediaPortal for the minidisplay plugin to take place and show some nice information about the media being played. But if the media is stopped, revert to show the FrontView configuration.

Is this possible? Can anyone help me configure this thing to work like this?

Hi everyone,
Thanks to this incredibly active and competent community, I'm about to complete my HTPC configuration.
But I have still an issue left regarding the LCD of my Antec fusion black remote used with Minidisplay.

The main point is that I would like to have Frontview running to display some information (I didn't manage to use LCDSmartie ...). If I set Frontview to "never" running, I got a blank screen on startup and that isn't what I want. So I set it to "Auto" or "Always".

The issue is that when I launch MediaPortal with the FrontView loaded, I get the following lines in the log (see attached for a full log, Minidisplay_KO.txt):

And then a blank screen, Minidisplay seems unable to manage the LCD.

On the other hand, if FrontView is not loaded when I launch MediaPortal, all seems to work properly and I get the following logs (see full logs attached, minidisplay_OK.txt):

I've read that people often set FrontView to "Never" but is it supposed to be mandatory ? Or is there something to do against the issue I'm encountering ?

Let me know if there is something I can do to help, I can test whatever you want on my computer if you have and idea.

The plugin worked well since the RC4 build but in the MP 1.0 final version something goes wrong. I set all options like I did n RC4

Use SG_VFD.dll enabled and Resart imon software when MP closes.

In MP 1.0 this config. does also work, but it breaks the shutdown command of my imon pad (red button) - in RC4 I could easily shutdown the system by using the red button - now nothing occurs. I tried all options but without success. I looked in the error.log and in two other logs, but I couldn't find any differences to previous RC4 logs (I uses extensive log.).

I guess you have iMON autoupdate feature on...

Hi! I haven't tried this out yet, but i got the iMon in a 3R System Mstation HT1000. Looks like this:

Is it a specific iMon version i should use, and disable auto-update? And about the FrontView i saw mentioned some places, is that a way to program what the vdf should display?

unfortunately, i won't be able to try this out for about a week since i'm still at work

This is my first post so i hope I choosed the right place.

I have an issue to get the Minidisplay plugin running on a MSi MedieLive barebone with an DM140GINK display.
After I didn't get it running on version 1.0 even with the updated Minidisplay.dll, I also tried the latest snapshot.
The behaviour is always the same. Within the configuration, I can successfully test the display. Running the mediaportal app the system get stucked during the initialization phase. It just stopped. I have to kill the process.
I attched the log files. I hope you guys can help me somehow.

problem reporting here again...

My setup: Antec Fusion Black Remote (iMon LCD OEM), MCE Remote.

Minidisplay controls my LCD without (major) problems. But If I activate Minidisplay it sets "frontview" in Soundgraph manager to "never" automatically. This disables the IR Receiver of the display (MCE Remote does not work any more, strangely iMon Pad works still but I hate it). If MP is closed I can reconstruct the problem: Frotview set to never, MCE does not work (like up-down in notepad file), set to "always" or "automatic": it works.

Can it be set somehow that Minidisplay does not change the "frontview" settings of Soundgraph?

PS: CybrDisplay behaves the same, iMon Version does not play any role (6.2-7.4 etc)

Hi guys - hoping someone can help. Before MP1.0, my front display worked fine (antec case, VFD display from imon i believe). I did not have any of the IMON software installed, MP could handle it automatically. Since upgrading however it no longer works. I've tried using the new display plugin given, but it does not seem to work. Does anyone have the correct settings/some help? Thanks

Whoops - ignore this...im a numpty. Looks like i had to set "use old dll" setting in advanced...seems to be working now..ta!
