Neither works for me :(

https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...m200-remote-setup-antec-veris-max-case-56680/

What I do not understand is why some of you (and I am pretty sure that's because of this you have some problems) are still installing cybrdisplay over the existing minidisplay (wich is cybrdisplay, but already integrated to mediaportal) ???

I installed CybrDisplay to see if there was code change when it got incorporated into MP as Minidisplay. Unfortunately, it did not fix my problem (see above)...

Don't use autodetect but force it to be LCD or LCD2.

    Simone

Neither LCD nor LCD2 work :(
I've tried every possible combination of LCD, LCD2, LCD3R, VFD and V3 DLL and I can't seem to be getting it to work..

Sorry no idea for the moment. A user, belcom, is helping out a lot on iMON support for IRSS, maybe once finished, he can help also with MiniDisplay for new firmwares.

Because cybrdisplay works and minidisplay doesn't?

NO way, it's the same code !

So please tell me what's wrong after you configure all options the ame with MiniDisplay.

Properties I can help with !

Access the config and set MP to open in Window mode (i.e. not full screen) - then open the config for MiniDisplay and tick the Property Browser box.

Now when you navigate through MP you can see the window id and any available properties which you can display.

Once you've got all you need, change the above settings back again.

Joris: I have exact same problem with Matrix Orbital GX. When I click "Test", I am getting "Failed to locate assembly 'log4net, version 1.2.10.0...." error message. My log4net.dll is 1.2.9.0. When I replace the dll with 1.2.10.0, I am getting "Failed to locate assembly 'log4net, version 1.2.9.0...."

Did manage to you resolve this? Please share your findings. Did you try it with MP 1.0.1?

    Hi,

I use a matrix orbital GX display, wich the driver uses log4net.dll 1.2.10.0
    (mediaportal uses 1.2.9.0 )

I guess this is the fix they speak about in the start of the previous thread :

1a) IF (and ONLY if) you are using a Matrix Orbital GX display, download MatrixGX_Support_Files.zip and extract the contents to your MediaPortal directory.

Problem is I can't find this file for download anywhere.

    Thanks,

    Joris.

    EDIT :
Digged a bit deeper, the last svn is now also log4net.dll 1.2.10.0, but for framework 1.1 and not framework 2.0

So there most be a way to set in the configuration.exe.config to use the 2.0 version and not search for the 1.1 version ?
or to use the 2.0 version only for the "test display" and when loading this particular plugin when starting mediaportal ?

Added a picture with the 2 errors, the top one is when trying to configure the plugin with 1.2.10.0 Framework 2.0 dll in the mediaportal directory, the 2nd with the 1.1 and doing "test display".

    (svn-04-02-2009--11-27-Rev22162)

... then you can copy the matrix orbital dll files in the mediaportal folder

where can I find those dll so that I can check if they can be included in MP installer ?

They are included in the matrix orbital installer,
    I'll upload them here,

they are newer versions of the ones that were included with minidisplay.

    fastbitmap.dll
    glkdriver.dll
    libgx2.dll

and of course framework 2.0 log4net.dll v1.2.10.0, but that you were addressing already.

Since you can freely download the driver from the matrix orbital website, i suppose they won't mind including the dll's in your installer.

    Thanks for all your efforts,

    Joris.

(I think i'll write a small how to for the display config of the gx display soon, as it took me a while to figure out how to display 3 lines etc...)
