I would suggest downgrading the Imon Software to 7.2 or 7.4 as it seems to work better with those versions.
My Frontview setting is set to: always.


Despite the fact that it's working there are some minor problems:

- Standby issue when no media is played after resuming from standby or starting MP
- After resuming from standby sometimes the contrast setting seems to get lost, so you either see nothing because it's too low or to high. This seems to be somewhat random as I could not reproduce this.

I've tried all versions of the Imon manager since 6.2., all the way up to the current version.
The results are the same.
If "Leave Frontview Active " is ticked , my harmony remote works but the display keeps swapping between MiniDisplay and Frontview , and sometimes both at the same time, the same as posted by disaster123

i've tested:
Display works when Imon is NOT started - but then remote doesn't...
Display works when Imon is started with Frontview ON - but then text is flashing between MP and Frontview...

Windows XP , SP3
Case - Silverstone CW02 with Imon LCD
Imon details-
Imon Manager ver. Tried them all from 6.2 up to 7.61.0522(Silverstone)
Imon Firmware ver. 0x380102, LCD HID OEM.

I've got an OEM LCD + iMon PAD telco (with the case luxa2 LM100).
I use drivers iMON v7.60.0521 and this minidisplay version.
And... all works fine !!!!
No bug (for the moment), icons (music, movies, dvd, tv, MP3...), EQ, volume and "duration" trackbar work great.

Just one thing, but the problem is not from this plugin version (I have tested with the MP 1.0.2 version) : it's no more possible to save changing do with "config editor"...

Here's my first MP post, so here we go...

* Antec Fusion Black with integrated LCD and Imon
* MP latest v1.02
* Remote's: Logitech Dinovo Mini & Harmony One as MCE configured.
* Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-E7AUM-DS2H
* Video: Onboard Nvidea 9400GT
* TV: Hitachi P42T Plasma
* In/Output: Sound: SP-diff glasfiber, Video: HDMI
* Now Runing XP SP3, but tested Vista and Win7 that gave same results.
* iMon: Tryed versions 7.2, 7.3x, 7.4, and now latest version.

The display is switching between mini display and iMon, and give garbage on display while sometimes for a second one of the two takes control over the lcd.

Tryed all different switches in mini display config, some results did not work at all, and best result what i get is what i describe as "fighting" over lcd control.

I hope this can be fixed in the future, and again thx all for the great MP

I read a lot about this, and my 5 cents are that the mini display is DEactivating the MCE control and therefore we now have to keep them BOTH running. Seems to me that if mini display would NOT disable the MCE control all will be working 100% and there will be no need for 2 apps controllling the one display.
My suggestion is not to work for a solution where both apps work together, but make effort to keep MCE remote operational when minidisplay is active so Imon can be disabled all together.

A home, I have icons music, video, cd/dvd, tv, mp3, and trackbars, 'disc' icon if I enable them in minidisplay config.
Is it possible to have all icons working in a future version ? But for the moment all is OK for me !

Remote for me WORKs!!!!
Strange thing i have done. I put the 2 files in mediaportal with imon manager always actived and no third parts active. I start mediaportal and it didn't work, then i setted in imon manager no display active and 3° parts active. I start mediaportal and it works pause, play , stop and all commands!!!! My imon manager is the last and thermaltake case with imon vfd firmware 0X30.

Update: now i setted another time in imon manager the vfd always active, no third parts and it works too..... very strange but good.....

Which Frontview setting did you use in the Imon software?

That's behaves exactly like that when I set frontview on "Automatic".
Already described in the solution database, nothing new !

By the way I have tried the last minidisplay, same results as before :
- frontview set on "never" in iMon manager lead to "MCE remote" not working.
- other settings for frontview (always and automatic) are OK for working in "MCE remote" mode, but, of course, iMon Manager and Minidisplay are "fighting" for the VFD.

etc, etc...

My feeling is that piece of hardware will NEVER work.
I spent so much time on it !
I even managed to make my own driver (well, a piece of software working over the standard Windows usb driver...).


May be one day I'll take time to find some replacement part for it, but for the moment I saw nothing adapted for my Antec Case nor cheap enough to justify a buy.
Companies selling VFD hardware (Soundgraph, and others) or integrating it in their case are just "making money" without any consideration for customers. If they cared, they would actively support Mediacenter projects and would provide decent APIs.
Fuck them all !
