    Hi!

in the past my client had used a thumbs dir on drive O. Now i change the mediaportal.xml to use a dir on drive C. It works fine only MovingPictures still uses O. Any idea on how to solve this?

The easiest way to switch your folder without messing with SQLite is to:

    1) Manually change the artwork folders in the Advanced Config screen (see the attached screenshot).
    2) Manually move your artwork folder from the old location to the new location.
    3) Restart the Moving Pictures Config.
    4) Wait a minute or so, then go through and make sure your favorite covers are still selected.

What actually is happening here is Moving Pictures will see all your assigned artwork is no longer where Moving Pics thinks it is. It will then remove all links in the database to the old folder (because it no longer exists) then rescan for new artwork. The first place the scanner will look for artwork though is your existing artwork folder (the new one) on your hard drive. All your old artwork will then be reloaded. This means that you may have to cycle your selected cover on a few movies here and there to get back to the one you had previously selected, but you wont have to redownload anything.

And for what its worth I just pulled the issue ltfearme linked forward. not sure why it was pushed all the way back to 1.4...

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...

TV Server plugins are listed on this page, and "EPG Cleaner" can be downloaded from this page. Note: I don't know what bitness the plugin has. It might be 32-bit, or it might be "any cpu". The plugin is not listed by the "MP Extensions" tool, so I don't know whether it has been tested with the most-recent MP releases. -- from...

Update: Problem solved! The electronic program guides (tvguide.xml) have been successfully transferred to MediaPortal. The issue stemmed from the corruption of one or both of the mc2xml.dat and/or mc2xml.exe files, for an unknown reason. Consequently, even though the tvguide.xml file appeared to be updated, its content kept being an...

I compliment you on the thoroughness of your investigations. (y) Unfortunately, I don't have any ideas what the problem might be. :( Perhaps someone else will post with some suggestions. -- from CyberSimian in the UK
