Just a question about MP 1.0 RC 1 installation.

The main post says to uninstall the old version of MP and TV Server. Do you need to uninstall the SQL components too?

My old install had MySQL which I left, when I ran through the RC1 install there was an option to not install a database engine and to use an existing one. After install I ran the setup for TVserver and the window came up asking which engine I use. I selected MySql and it worked fine.

same here for MS SQL. Note that the existing TVLibrary database is deleted and recreated, which means that any extra user names you have associated with it (eg. for Big_Kevs Web based epg manager), then they will have to be re-associated with it. Also any TV recordings will have to be reimported, but there is a feature inbuilt in the TV Server for this now.

Shame on me. That's it. I forgot that this computer was still running the 32-bit version of MP. From now on, I will no longer do updates in the morning :).

Hi, First off: there are some issues with the latest Mediaportal (32bits vs 64bits), so that is one of the issues you're stumbling with. If you take the previous version (1.31) it should work as expected. For IPTV there is also a different option (with different pros and cons): Onlinevideos. I'm using that sometimes for my IPTV as...

Hi, I didn't have SQL problems but just wanted to agree that on my Win7 system, a clean install of 1.36 TV server x86 does not work since it won't start the TV server configuration. Installing 1.33 first and upgrading to1.36 fixed the problem. Eggert

Ok, thanks much. I will look into the instructions above. For the moment, I turned off the "Automatic channel logo update" in Settings (which somehow I had missed, I think because it wasn't an option previously), and the deleted everything in the Flat-default folder and populated it with my own logos. Works, so far.
