    But, seems to not work when I click on update by this way, nor in auto-update when entering the plugin
    Just so I understand, you are saying that the problem also exists for auto download in background during import scan? If so, it probably just needs the directory check there as well.

    EDIT: I think that might be a different problem as there was already a directory check there. As long as you can download manually from the artwork chooser that's good for now. What would be helpful is reproduce a fresh import for a series that has this problem and provide logs. You should be able to delete the series from database using configuration and then import again.

    Deleted "this is us" from database.
    Entering first time in the plugin and, waiting until auto-update finished.
    This is the screen I have :

    Going in MP main menu and, go another time in plugin, this is the screen I have :

    Click on "this is us", this is the screen I have :

    And finally, I clicked on update, waiting for finish and, going back to MP main menu.

    Anyone else having issues with the import of "Penny Dreadful: City of Angels" in v4.3.6.0?

    I've been using this plug-in from the day it became available and for the first time I'm experiencing a very weird behavior.
    The first scan on this specific show always fails to find the episodes in the TvDB. They are just missing at the right side of the 'matching' window.
    I need to close the config tool and run the import again (sometimes twice) to get the new episodes.
    Never saw that behavior before. And it is the only show that gives this kind of issue.

    I'm just wondering if I'm the only one seeing this.

    nb. @itfearme - you don't have to look into this.
    The last episode of the Penny's season is tomorrow and the workaround (retry until it shows up) works for me.

    HI @xppx, it could be a cache issue. When the issue occurs next, use the configuration tool to jump to the API cache folder for the selected series, then inspect the XML to see what the API is returning...perhaps something went wrong in that step.

    I have a nasty feeling it's indeed related to the old TVDb API that is not getting the care (read: Performance/Throughput) anymore that it should.

    Join our beta group to test the v4 API

    Hi everyone! As you know, we've been hard at work for the past few months on v4 of TheTVDB API. As we get closer to the official launch, we wanted to start putting together a group of developers to beta test the API before it's fully released to our clients and general user base.

    Some background: The v4 API is a completely new API, that is not backwards compatible.

    We'll have more info as we get closer to launch, but at a high level, being a part of the beta group would mean you'd have the first opportunity to provide feedback on the v4 API, and help us ensure it's meeting the needs of you, our developers.

    The smaller problem, ignore if you don't have an easy solution, is widebanner for series "Rhys Darby Big In Japan". I see one here Rhys Darby: Big in Japan - TheTVDB.com , but MP find nothing.

    The log file clearly tells you that it has a 403 error (access denied) when trying to download:


    Manually opening that link gives me an XML formatted response on access denied.

    Unless your API key is wrong (easy to check by verifying if any other show works for you on artwork), then the problem is clearly with TheTVdB and they need to fix that show. If you are a contributor it is often easy to fix yourself.

    only 2 of my recent series additions did not download a banner, although banners exist in TVDB, so it's not MP. As I don't use banners view, I did not notice it til now.

    Try deleting the api cache for the selected series on the Configuration tool, and then run import again.
    Its possible the cache is invalid, if it still does not look like its resolved it is probably an issue at tvdb.
