    Hi.
Done a little Photoshoping today. If you like, replace it with the default one in your MP2 client program folder.

    Hi.
    not sure about the font
It's LCARS Font (aka Star Trek The Next Generation Font). ;)
I never expect this to be the new "official" Splash Screen. I've done it just for personal purpose as the recent screen is a bit too minimalistic imho...
First I wanted to add a warp trail from MP1 to MP2 logo but that was too much even for an old school trekkie like me. ;)

I really like @Spragleknas design. However, i dont think that any text apart from "CLNT" is needed. As the splashscreen is seen just for i few seconds in mp2, nobody will have time to read that :).

maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck? Preferable with as much disabled as possible also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything) maybe other programs competing for resouces?

Update: Problem solved! The electronic program guides (tvguide.xml) have been successfully transferred to MediaPortal. The issue stemmed from the corruption of one or both of the mc2xml.dat and/or mc2xml.exe files, for an unknown reason. Consequently, even though the tvguide.xml file appeared to be updated, its content kept being an...

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...
