I don't have mediaportal 2, so I have no idea how long it takes to load etc, can always use splash screen replacement for OS: startup/suspend/resume. Maybe MP2 client config will have an option where it changes your OS splash screens to MP2.

I think you won't see the splash screen for more than 5 seconds (for me <2 sec)

I also prefer the fullscreen splash approach. Since the recent changes for multi-monitor support we have access to settings when showing splash screen. So we can allow to use a skin dependent (or even user selected custom) splash screen.

If anyone prefers a "non fullscreen" or semi transparent one, it's easy to use a matching .png.

Thanks. If you want to use one of the above I can fine tune, make a little nicer etc... (or you can do it yourself as i included the .psd file) Let me know if you do use one as I'll never know otherwise.

I would like to use the "Orange on standard" (Orange MP2 logo on Titanium background) in 1920x1080 resolution. I will try to add the settings, or only replace the default splash screen.

I thought you wrote orange on black, so here are both tidied up.

Can we have a special "Alpha 2" screen? I thought about adding "α2" next to the logo. So the splash itself clearly identifies the version. As Titanium is default skin in Alpha 2, this will fit well (even without further settings)

This is only a draft, so maybe someone more talented in graphics can make it look nice and matching with the logo?

I think Alpha 2 is enough for now. Thanks!

I'm not that talented either, I don't know how to do curves, I have to do them in with my mouse.

Hi. I was probably being a bit fast and loose with my terminology. I meant "somewhere within the files that MP2 uses in its database". Anyway, I found a way to do this which was far from automated but relatively low effort. I found what looked like all the images (CD covers, DVD covers, backgrounds etc all lumped together in...

Preferable with as much disabled as possible also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything) maybe other programs competing for resouces?
