New install and unable to setup MySQL server on a DSL router (1 Viewer)

when I test the MySQL server database connection I get an error stating unable to connect to local host. How do I resolve this on my DSL router?

I found the fix! I needed to add the 3306 port to my DSL router by adding it in port forwarding.

You could try using the UNC paths for the timeshift and record folders. On the client machine go to MediaPortal configuration - TV/Radio - Advanced Options tick the UNC paths tick box and put the network paths for timeshift and record folders in the appropriate lines and click OK.
