Sorry -- I wish someone could have solved it too. Interesting that the problem occurs on a completely different machine and OS. I guess that give some indication that it's not the basic setup. I've seen some of the other threads, too -- appears to be random 'screwing around' that 'fixed' it. But I'm sure there's a real answer somewhere, as MP2 TV apparently eventually works.Oh no! Please don't say that.
So I deleted/uninstalled everything (except W7 SP1) and tried the weekly suggested by ge2301.
Similar - maybe not exactly the same thing. Here's what I did - if anyone is still looking. (after configuring channels and trying web epg with TVserver)
In the following, when I say clicked a channel -- I'm actually clicking in the guide area for that channel.
Start MP2. Go to TV>Guide, click 1st channel (KVOA HD), select Watch Now: result - no player, same as before.
Click KTTU HD (the only channel for which web epg found data), select Watch Now. First time, I got the message 'Unable to play xxxx.ts'. Tried twice more: no indication of any kind. Sounds sort of like timeshift started, but no player.
At some point (maybe not in logs), I clicked KTTU HD and selected 'Record'. The current program turned red as if recording -- but after stopping in a couple of minutes, there's nothing in 'Recordings' except the sample video (which still works fine)
BTW -- I really wouldn't care if 'Watch now' didn't work, IF that were a feature. Never watch live in MP anyway.
