There is a registry modifying option in the configuration now, "Disable automatic buttons".

    Hi Aaron

I have already made the registry changes manually, but I will test it for you and report back..

    Twhyman:

    1. Thanks, I've looked at it and hopefully the new test version I mentioned above will fix this.
    2. Very strange, I'll look into it some more and see what I can find.
    3. Thanks.

    Cheers,

    Everyone:

There is a new version on the first post (1.0.4.2 Preview 3) ...

It should solve the remaining problem with channel changing.

Please let me know straight away if there are any problems.

    Thanks,

    Hi Aaron

The "Disable automatic buttons" function is not working...two problems:

    1) If I un-tick the option and exist the configuration, and then go back in the tick is back on.
    2) It does not change the registry settings at all.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll test it again here.

I'm thinking it could be a security permission problem ...

    Cheers,

    Hi,

    Thanks for another version.

I can now tune channels, but only in full screen TV.
When not in full screen mode i can see the blaster working but nothing happens, and if i switch to full screen the blaster works, but channel tunning is not allways reliable, somtime some digit are missing.

    I am attachig a log.
    Thanks for helping us, :D

    Cheers,

Do you mean I have a security permission problem, or do you mean its a generic problem? I will switch off all my security software and try again, perhaps Norton is preventing the registry from being changed...

    Hi Aaron

OK, I have an update for you...I forgot that you have to reboot after a registry change

    hi,

i´am using the MP mce remote plugin and think about using yours again (i had some standby issues in the past). i´ve upgraded to vista last days and noticed that MP seems to have some problems with vistas volume settings. so MP cannot change the volume without a workaround (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...lem-under-vista-31510/?highlight=vista+volume) .
today i´ve connected my headphones to the frontpanel of my machine and my soundcarddriver (x-fi) says that there are headphones connected. but i can´t change the volume of the headphones in MP. i have to use the driver volume control or the windows volume control. and-81 is it possible to solve this problem with your plugin?

i hope you can help me. thank you very much.

    Twhyman:

    How bizarre,

The only thing I can see in the log that looks a bit wrong is that one of the channel changes has it's two blast's separated by about 1 second ... this might be because the system is under a heavy load. So I'll try to change the priority on the code and see if that fixes it.

You should also try Learning the IR Commands again, making sure you put the remote within a couple of inches of the receiver when Learning.

    geov:

Ahhh, ok, I'll put a warning to tell the user that a reboot is required for the change to take effect... And I'll see if restarting the HID service will force the change to take effect immediately ...

    Thanks,

    wunschkind:

I've been meaning to add volume control commands for some time now. But at the moment it won't fix the problem you're having :( Once I put volume commands in it will... But I don't know when I'll have time for that at the moment.

    Sorry,

    kamuisan7:

Make sure the blaster bug is right on top of the receiver on the device you're trying to control, making direct contact with it (that's what the peal-away adhesive pads are for).

Other than that, try teaching the commands again making sure you have the remote very close to the receiver (within 6 centimetres). And then test them in the configuration application.

Other than that you could send me a log file and I can take a look at it.

I'll make some more changes and post a new version soon...

    Thanks for the feedback,

    Cheers,
