Make sure the blaster bug is right on top of the receiver on the device you're trying to control, making direct contact with it (that's what the peal-away adhesive pads are for).

Other than that, try teaching the commands again making sure you have the remote very close to the receiver (within 6 centimetres). And then test them in the configuration application.

Other than that you could send me a log file and I can take a look at it.

I'll make some more changes and post a new version soon...

Thanks for the feedback,

Cheers,

The blaster is well placed, with previous version of your plugin and mce, there is no problem. I teach again the commands ... no result. When I test them in the configuration application, the blaster seems ok (red light flashing)but the channel doesn't change.

You can find log file attached.

Hope you will find what's the problem.

This has got me stumped! :) I'll do a code comparison between 1.0.3.1 and 1.0.4.2 and see what might be causing this ...

Can you give me an example of an IR file that blasts but has no effect?

    nickola:

The repeat delay and held delay don't have an effect on the buttons that are automatically mapped by the driver (Up, Down, Left, Right, OK, etc...) unless you disable the automatic handling, is it possible this is what you are seeing?

I'll take a look at the situation to double check anyway.

    Thanks,

Which file do you need exactly ?

I think the problem is when I learn the ir code of my stb remote. It seems it learns a part of the ir code, because the time of flashing of the blaster is very short with version 1.0.4.2 ... With version 1.0.3.1, the red light flashes a longer time.

    The problem is :
When you change the value of The repeat delay and held delay and you press OK to exit totally MCE configuration, if you enter a second times to the configuration and you look the value : it's the default value !!
So it explain because the repeat delay and held delay don't have an effect.

When you learn an IR Command it creates a file in \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\IR Server Suite\IR Commands, if you get that file to me I can take a look at it.

Thanks for the explanation, I will see what I can do.

    Hi Aaron

I've had the same problem for a long time, but I don’t use standby and usually just switch the power off on my HTPC, so this problem does not bother me that much.

Just thought I would point out that 'maysider' is not the only one with the problem...
