Hi edsche, MP is in EVR (I´m on Windows 7 64Bit, MP 1.1.0 ALPHA and latest SVN). And it happens here without playing anything. Just the RSS on the screen, waiting some time - full stop of MP. Be sure to compile it against the latest API - there where changes. We just had this also with the ScoreCenter plugin and atm with the HTPCInfo plugin - so at least you´re not alone .

i am running evr in vista with MP 1.0.2.

I have the same exact problem as catavolt. The freezing happens without a movie playing. Just waiting on the home screen.

As I stated above it´s the same DirectX error. I´m using the latest SVN from the team server (23457) - I think you don´t have access to that? But this will be the upcoming BETA. May be it´s to early to speculate why the error occurs.

No i have no access to this version and have don't know how to get

I looked again over ftothe3 log and found out that infoservice is running and updates the feeds and weather even after the directx errors, so i assume the problem from ftothe3 has nothing to do with infoservice.

Yes i think i'll make it now ready. But for your build you need some modification for mp. See https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...able-autohidemouse-property-69497/#post500765 for the little patch. You'll need to compile it yourself. But i think it helps not with your freezes

For mp version 1.02 and 1.1.0 alpha i provide the changed MediaPortal.exe and Core.dll

Besides the discussion in the team chat I found out a possible solution: In the InfoService Config I had different numbers for the "max. items per feed for all feeds ticker" and "Max items for feed" (4 and 40). After setting BOTH to the same amount (40), the ticker works now more than 40 minutes without stopping MP. Maybe this is a hint for you also, edsche?

Confirmed - That did the trick! Now RSS runs smooth without stuttering and continuously without stopping MP. So remeber to put in the same numbers for the both fields in InfoService Config!

Mh even if i take your settings (Max items for feed:40 and max items per feed for all feeds ticker: 4), i can't get mp to crash. Do you use the "Show all feeds on home" feature ?

What is this feature"Show all feeds on home"? Where do I see it and enable/disable it? Well, I use the RSS on Basic Home and normal Home. After applying the a.m. solution all works fine now.
