i have found in mediaportal.log :

2009-11-04 08:23:43.332564 [Warn.][18]: InfoService: Update of weather unsuccesfull. No locationID for WeatherService found (LocationID string empty).

but i have filled weather location in plugins.

I decided to give this plugin a go last night but it's not doing what I know it should - I've read 9 pages of this thread and still haven't found what I'm looking for - well maybe I have but I haven't understood?

When I use the standard MP-RSS plugin I can click on the title of the feed (in the RSS screen) and a window pops up with the full story - perfect! But no matter which skin I try (I've tried about 5, including Monochrome 3 which supports the plugin) I can't get InfoService to do this

I've seen the link in the first post to the webbrowser plugin but it says I have to be using MP 1.1 and I'm still on 1.0.2 on my test machine....

I'd appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction here because there's no point in usinf the plugin if all I can get is a headline

UPDATE: Found an answer on page 27....

For those of us still using the older mediaportal....can we still use the latest infoservice? I ask because your webbrowser plugin specifically says it's for the newer 1.1 version....if so...what is the last version we CAN run and where can it be located?

InfoService 1.2 can be used with Mediaportal 1.0 and Mediaportal 1.1 Beta. There should be no problems. The WebBrowser v0.5 works too with both version. Only the WebBrowser v0.6 (which is not public, only v0.5) does only work with Mediaportal 1.1 Beta.

Hi edsche (or skinners), I'm having a problem with the latest release in that I can't get any images other than today's to show. If I relace #infoservice.weather.today.img.small.fullpath with #infoservice.weather.day2.day.img.small.fullpath no image is displayed, it's the same for all other days - the info is displayed for these days tho.

Any ideas...?

Just tested the new version and works this end.....though we now use skin suppied weather icons.

^ I bet youi haven´t tested ALL skins In PureVisionHD skins all work fine (see enclosed image).
You noticed that there were some changes in properties?

I think i must rewrite the feed and weather part. I think i get some time at the weekend. Especially the feed thing is a little bit tricky, because not every feed adhere to the offical rdf, rss, atom standards.

Btw how about some beta testers? So i can release a better working version.

@ catavolt, let me guess... you're not using the default MP weather images in PureVisionHD either...?
