Hi. I've assembled all components but I've a problem: relay is always switched on even if the parallel port is not plugged...
I checked for my mistakes but it seems everything alright(no short circuit). It might be the transistor because your plugin for mediaportal seems to work well...(how can I check transistor pins, Base - Emitter etc...)
There's a test I can do with tester to check bc547??
Hi, I was waiting to post you a picture because, for unknown reasons power supply wasn't 5V but 8.3V and now I think diode and transistor were damaged.
I don't want to waste your time so I try to fix by myself and than I'll keep in touch so I can modify your plugin to have an impulse in output instead of a continuous signal. Is it possible to edit your plugin with Visual Basic?? I know a little bit this software so, if it's possible, I'll try to edit with visual basic.
You will need visual studio, Or visual studio C# express edition (free) will work too I think. If your keen you can do this but it might be eaiser for me to do it, I'm happy to
My idea was to edit your plugin to insert a timer that, when I set pin 2 (or 3,4,5,6,7) output ON, after 0,5 sec (or 1 second--it depends from response time of my relay) the output is automatically set OFF.
